I like to begin my day with a pineapple smoothiI always start my day with a pineapple smoothie. It only takes a few minutes to prepare and always makes me feel like I'm starting my day off properly!

Equipment

  • Vitamix blender
  • Measuring Spoons

Ingredients
  

  • cups 14 oz lite coconut milk
  • 1 whole banana frozen
  • 2 cups pineapple frozen
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla

Instructions
 

  • In the container of a Vitamix blender, mix the ingredients in the order given (or another high-powered blender).
  • Blend on low to medium speed, then increase to high, pushing the ingredients into the blades with the tamper.
  • Blend for 30-60 seconds on high speed, or until the ingredients are completely mixed and the sauce is smooth and thick.
  • Serve right way!

Notes

Lite Coconut milk:
This pineapple smoothie recipe is one of my favorites since it tastes best when prepared with canned coconut milk. As a result, I usually have some in my refrigerator to prepare this smoothie. I use light coconut milk, but any bottled coconut milk would serve. For a lighter version, use a mixture of almond and coconut milk. While you may add almond milk or any non-dairy milk in this pineapple smoothie recipe, I think coconut milk gives a unique tropical flair.
Frozen Banana:
My favorite method to sweeten a recipe and give it a delightfully creamy texture is to add frozen bananas to it. You won’t need to add ice to make it creamy and icy if you use a frozen banana.
Frozen Pineapple:
Frozen pineapple is generally on hand in my freezer (to prepare this green smoothie recipe and of course, this pineapple banana smoothie). It’s easy (like canned coconut milk), and frozen fruit is always picked and frozen at the high freshness, making it super delicious and nutritional. If you have fresh pineapple on hand, use it! You may also buy fresh pineapple and cut it up before freezing it.
Honey:
This is unnecessary, however for the finest flavor, it is recommended. This recipe may easily be made vegan by using pure maple syrup.
Vanilla extract:
This pineapple smoothie recipe is boosted by the addition of pure vanilla extract. The pineapple flavor is emphasized by the creamy vanilla flavor.
