Today I'm sharing my recipe for the Hearty Fruit and Oat Smoothie. It is made with oats and fruit. The fiber in oats helps lower cholesterol levels and lowers the risk of heart disease, and the fiber in fruits helps with digestion.
The hearty fruit and oat smoothie also contain iron which is good for blood circulation.

  • ½ cup Oats
  • 1 large banana
  • 2 medium-sized strawberries
  • 1 cup milk
  • a handful of blueberries
  • a handful of raspberries
  • a few mint leaves
  • a few slices of ginger


  • Add oats and the remaining ingredients into a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Pour into a glass or bowl to serve as a snack.
  • If desired, add a spoonful of yogurt or kefir.
